RQHBA 2019 Futurity Results

Weanlings sold through the RQHBA sale are eligible for show in the Don Brunner Memorial yearling halter futurity, held the morning of the 2019 RQHBA Sale, and are also eligible to show as a 2 and 3 year old in the ranch horse futurity held the day of sale.

 

The  2019 Yearling Futurity Winners are:

Yearling Mare:

1. Cowboys Star Lit, owner Frank Carlson and bred by Long Quarter Horses.

2. Laughing Frenchie, owner Jeremy Langdeau and bred by Bender Ranch.

3. Cowboys French Charm, owner Aspen Larmer and bred by Bender Ranch.

4. Tonkas French Frost, owner Rhiannon Allen and bred by Merrill Ranch.

5. Harlans Bay Bit, owner John Erickson and bred by Hancock Maxon Quarter Horses.

 

Yearling Stallion:

1. Reggies Sparkin Hot, owner Aspen Larmer and bred by Mailloux Qurter Horses.

2. Harlans Lucky Seven, owner Becky Amio and bred by Hancock Maxon Quarter Horses.

3. Cowboys Dual Express, owner Frank Carlson and bred by Long Quarter Horses.

 

Yearling Gelding:

1. Harlans Samba, owner Ashley Secrest and bred by Hancock Maxon Quarter Horses.

 

Each class winner was the recipient of a check for $600. Second place paid $300 and third place paid $100.

 

2 and 3 year Ranch Horse Futurity winners:

2 year old Champion: Oles Duallin Cat, owned by Sarah Moreland and bred by Shield Five Quarter Horses.

2nd: Boonys Skeets, owned by Sonya Coolahan and bred by Shield Five Quarter Horses.

3rd: Stirrups N Spurs, owned by Becky Amio and bred by Wetz Stirrup Ranch.

4th: Royals Smart Pep, owned by Anna Burch and bred by Shield Five Quarter Horses.

 

3 year old Champion: Yo Setta Streak, owned by Ashley Secrest bred by Merrill Ranch.

2nd: Boonys Rebel owned by Kashton Ford and bred by Shield Five Quarter Horses.

 

 

3 places were paid in each age division with a total purse of $3000.
