LeRoy & Shirley
have been riding good horses as long as they can remember. Not always
having the room to have many, but always keeping their kids and themselves
mounted on good horses. They have always concentrated on confirmation,
feet, legs and disposition. Dale lives on the home ranch where he trains and
ropes.
June works for a custom chap maker and is going to Equine
massage college in Colorado this spring, She also does photography
and ad design when she isn’t getting colts ready for sales. Dale’s boys help with the foals and ranch work.
They are the 5th generation to work on the ranch. The Wetz Stirrup Ranch is located 16 miles east of Vale BVR Sugar Leo has a super disposition and is a beautiful dun color. We crossed him on our young palomino mares. How far do you have to drive to find a stud with Sugar Bars & Leo on his papers? Remember Sugar Pan is a full brother to Jewells Leo Bar. Lad Leo doesn’t hurt his pedigree either. He is a little smaller than most of our horses, but you sure don’t know it when riding him. He has a big heart with lots of speed & cow. Lonsum Leo King is 16 hands and a unique orange palomino. Due to
a wire cut on a front foot we only got a few good rides on him. We
rode and competed on his full bother (Lonsum Joe Reed)
and still use his dam as an alley horse and a baby sitter for the
grandkids. We also stand a ¾ bother Mr Lonesome
Leo a 2000 palomino stallion owned by. DR Bill Fletcher
from The Mare Band has
an influence of - Driftwood - Joe Reed II - Leo Sugar
Bars - King -Wimpy - Cutter Bill -Winning Note - Roan Bar.
All mares are broke and have to prove themselves.

The Wetz Stirrup Ranch is located 16 miles east of Vale South Dakota along the Belle Fourche River. We have raised horses for ranch and arena work for over 30 years. They have bone enough to carry a person all day, speed enough to catch a cow, and brains enough to know what to do when they are but in tight situations. We have foundation bloodlines with color.
BVR Sugar Leo has a super disposition and a beautiful dun color. We crossed him on our young palomino mares. How far do you have to drive to find a stud with Sugar Bars & Leo on his papers? Remember Sugar Pan is a full brother to Jewells Leo Bar. Lad Leo doesn’t hurt either. He is a little smaller than most of our horses, but you sure don’t know it when riding him. He has a big heart.

We rode and competed on his full bother (Lonsum Joe Reed) and still use his dam as an alley horse and a baby sitter for the grandkids. We also stand a ¾ bother Mr Lonesome Leo a 2000 palomino stallion owned by . DR Bill Fletcher from Arkansas.
The Mare Band has an influence of Joe Reed II - Leo - Driftwood - Sugar Bars - King -Wimpy - Cutter Bill -Winning Note - Roan Bar. All mares are broke and have to prove themselves.
Conformation / Ability - Athleticism and natural cow /Disposition – If they don’t have it, they don’t belong in our breeding program. Please stop by or call LeRoy- Shirley-Dale or June for more information on our operation. Ride the Stirrup Brand
