The 9th annual Ranchers’ Quarter Horse Breeders Association Select Performance & Prospect Sale was held on a beautiful late summer day at the Seven Down Arenas on August 30th. Attendance was significantly up and saw bidders from 12 states. The sale day began with previews of performance prospects, weanlings and yearlings, followed by an outdoor roping preview for Invitational consignments. RQHBA’s first ever Yearling Futurity Champion presentation was held immediately prior to the sale.  Judy Phillips of Rozet, WY purchased a 2008 filly from Mailloux Quarter Horses at the 2008 sale. She showed the yearling filly during the 2009 Central States Fair to a $500 win.
